PINS
How do I Pin my treasured collectibles?
After you have logged in, look up to the navigation menu. To the right and you will see a "+" symbol.

- Click that "+" symbol and you will be taken to the Add New Pin page.
- Enter the title of your Pin.
- From here, use the text editor to add your text.
- Below the text editor is Featured Image section. This is where you will upload a photo of your treasured collectible. Click the Set Featured Image button to upload your photo. It's best to use photos that are 400px wide or bigger (px = pixels).
- Select a Category that most fits your treasured collectible. If there’s no category for your item, suggest one and we’ll add it to our list of categories.
- Click the "Publish" button to send your Pin for reviewal.
That's it! Your Pin will be reviewed and you will be notified when it is published.
How do I view my own Pins?
Once you've created your Pins, you can view them all on one page. Go to your profile and then click on the link "View My Pins."
- On the navigation menu, mouse over the profile icon & select the "My Profile" option. This will take you to your profile.
- Click the link "View My Pins." This will take you to all of your Pins.

How do I view all of a specific user’s Pins?
To view all the Pins another user has posted, you can click their name on one of their Pins OR you can view all of their Pins from their profile.
- From any Pin, click on the user's name OR from any profile, click "View My Pins"

How do I share a Pin on Pinterest?
From any page that you can view a Pin, you can quickly add that Pin to your Pinterest account by clicking the red "Pin It" button. You must have an active Pinterest account, and it helps if you're already logged in. If not, don't worry, you'll still get the chance to do that further along in the process.
- While viewing a Pin, click the red Pin It button at the lower right of the Pin.
- The screen will now have an overlay showing at the top left the Pinterest logo with the words "Choose a Pin to Save". Click on the specific Pin you want to save (a red Save button will appear when you mouse over any Pin). Click it.
- A new window or tab will open up to the Pinterest website. Log in if you're not already logged in.



PROFILES
How do I view my profile?
In order to view your profile, you must first be logged in. You'll be taken directly to your profile as soon as you log in. If after viewing other pages you'd like to return to your profile, mouse over the Profile icon at the top right of the navigation menu and select the option "My Profile."

How do I edit my profile?
You can get to your profile editor from any page. Simply mouse over the Profile icon at the top right of the navigation menu and select "Edit Profile."

How do I view another User’s profile?
You can view another user's profile in a couple of ways. If you're already viewing Pins, there is a link "View My Profile" on every Pin, right underneath the Pin author's name. Click that link and you're at the user's profile. The second way is by going to the Member Directory which lists all current members.

MESSAGES
How do I Follow Someone and why?
In order to send a private message to someone, you must first follow them or they must follow you. Once the "Follow" has been established by either of you, a yellow chat bubble on their profile will appear whenever you see their profile card.
- Click the Follow button
- Refresh your browser & then click the yellow chat bubble button


How do I view my own messages?
When you receive a message, you'll see an orange box pop-up in the lower-right corner of your screen alerting you that you have new messages. Simply click that button. You can also view your messages any time by mousing over the profile icon on the right side of the navigation menu and then clicking "My Messages" option.


How do I send another user a Private Message?
You can message users you follow or that follow you directly from their profile card (see previous FAQ question). You can also send a private message in response to someone's message to you. You'll need to go to "My Messages" and then click the quick reply chat bubble.


If you want to view the entire conversation, hover over the entire message. You'll see a link appear "read conversation". Click that and the entire conversation will appear.


FORUMS
I’m already registered with jdcollectibles.com. Do I have to also register for the Forum?
Yes. In order to use the forum you must register a new username. However, you may use your same username.
Understanding the Navigation Menu

- This area lets you know which Forum or sub-forum you are in. You can click any one of these to jump directly into that particular forum.
- "Back to Collectibles" link will take you back to the site where you can "Pin" your own treasured collectibles or view those of others.
- This envelope icon will take you to your Inbox to view your messages when clicked
- When clicked, this bell icon will show you your notifications such as when you get a new message or if someone has replied to your comment.

- This magnifying glass icon is the search icon and will reveal a search field to search the forums when clicked.

- This is your username. Clicking it will review a sub menu that you can use to go to your Control Panel, Profile, or to Log out.

- This final "hamburger" menu will reveal a sub menu when clicked. From here, each item pertains to your own topics that you created.

How do I join in on a discussion?
Joining in on a discussion is as easy as replying to an email or text message. You simply enter the discussion you are interested in and click the "Post Reply" button. You can then enter your reply into the text editor and then hit the "Submit" button to submit your reply. You may also format your text and even attach an image or other file.


Can I create my own Topics for discussion?
Yes, you can indeed create your own topics for discussion. After logging in, go to the General Discussion forum by clicking its link. Once inside the General Discussion forum, simply click the New Topic button located in the upper right of your screen. In addition to creating a new topic under General Discussion, you can also create new topics under other topics. For example, you might find several other user-created topics under General Discussion. If you enter those discussions, you can create a new sub-topic using the New Topic button.
All topics you create are subject to approval by the admin.
